Matomo Set Custom Dimension

Set a value for a custom dimension

Description​

Sets a value for a <a href="https://matomo.org/guide/reporting-tools/custom-dimensions/" target="_blank">custom dimension</a> (i.e. variable) inside matomo so customs charts can be derivated from it.

The dimension is applied to the whole visit. It doesn't sent an event in itself to the matomo server, the information is coming along the next event sent to matomo.

Don't forget to create a custom dimension on Matomo first. Then set its Dimension key (indicator) on Matomo side and then use this brick to send a value to the Dimension that corresponds to the Dimension key (indicator)

Inputs​

  • Control Flow (Control Flow)
  • Dimension (Number): Indicator of the dimension set on matomo server (usually between 1 - 5)
  • Value (String): The value to set to that dimension
